Coffee Talks are free, casual informational seminars held in the Senior Center at Diamondhead. Registration required.

Crafters

Meet the first and third Thursday of the month at 9 am, September-May. If you can cut and paste this group is for you. The crafters make projects such as favors for the Meals on Wheels program.

Quilters

These nifty stitchers meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, 9 am-12 pm. They use donated material to provide cheer and warmth. Their beautiful quilts are donated to various charitable groups. 

Knitting/Crocheting Group

Meets the second Friday of each month at 9 am. The Knitters generate hundreds of mittens, scarves, lap robes, afghans, booties, slippers, and more for various charitable organizations within our community. We'll even help you learn basic knitting and crocheting. 

Card Recyclers

Meet the second and fourth Monday of the month, from 12:30-4 pm. With some funny scissors, a little paper and a lot of creativity, this group transforms discarded greeting cards into new treasures. Donate old cards, help recycle or drop by and purchase a few!

SOUTH METRO STITCHERS

This maker group meets the 4th Monday of the month (Unless there's a holiday, then look for an alternate date), 5-8 pm. South Metro Stitchers are cross stitchers, needlepointers, knitters, crocheters, tatters and any other type of hand stitcher you can think of. Bring your project and stitch with us. If you are a beginner looking fo tips, we probably hvae someone who can help you. Contact Sara- sbmillerok at yahoo.com for more information. 

The Book Club has grown!

We now have two groups. 
Books R Us meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 1 pm in the Meeting Room at Diamondhead. The library provides  Books in a Bag with upcoming selections available at the Senior Center for you to borrow. The librarian assists with discussions and book selections, although Book Club members decide what will be read.

The Tuesday Book Club meets monthly on the first Tuesday at 1 pm  at  Barnes & Noble, 828 W Country Rd 42. (952-892-9280)

The Fun And Friendship Club All Ages-Members Only Annual membership $15. Meeting cost $10 includes lunch. Bingo $5. 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. Registration required by the Friday prior to the meeting date.  The monthly meeting begins at 11 am, followed by a group activity or entertainment, and then lunch. Check the Chatter or the Community Education catalog for the upcoming menu and entertainment schedule. After lunch, those interested stay to play BINGO. This is a great way to learn about all the opportunities available at the Senior Center. Dessert is provided by Commons on Marice & Home Instead Senior Care.  Men’s Breakfast  The Men's Breakfast group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 8:30 am.  Interested parties call  or email Dan McElroy for date and location. Dan McElroy 952-797-4548 danmcelroy at comcast.net Ladies Breakfast Chat  Join the Ladies Breakfast Chat on the second Friday of the month at  9 am. Meals On Wheels Program  Nutritious meals are delivered to homebound seniors in the area. Call the MW coordinator at 952-393-9860. Volunteers are always needed. Community Pantry 191 Food at No Cost to You! First and third Tuesday of each month. Drive by Pick Up 2 pm until food is gone.  Door 9, lower west side of  Diamondhead Education Center off of Pleasant Ave.

Fare for all

Fare for All is a Program of the Food Group. It is Open to All. No Pre-registration, just show up to  shop. Fare for All is a community-supported, affordable grocery program. They buy fresh fruit, veggies and frozen meat in bulk to save you 30-40% off grocery store prices. Fare for All selects the best food & pre-packages it to bring you the best deals. Like a co op, the more people who shop, the better the value becomes for everyone. Fare for All comes to Diamondhead Education Center from 3-5 pm once a month. Upcoming dates: February 21, March 27, April 24, May 22, June 26. Use door 11 on the lower level. Please direct questions to Fare for All 763-450-3880. Foot Clinic

Appointments on the 1st & 3rd Thursday and the 3rd & 4th Friday of each month. A 30 minute session with Happy Feet provides basic foot care, including foot soak, care for corns and calluses, foot massage, nail trimming and treating ingrown nails. Bring a towel. Hearing Screening & Instrument Cleaning

Hearing screening can determine whether or not hearing loss is present and if further testing is needed. Appointments required. Call 952-707-4120 to schedule.
